Episode Title: "King of the Fleas"
Original Air Date: 10/21/1997
Having just stabbed a man on a street corner, Willie, a wheelchair-bound Vietnam POW, arrives at JAG headquarters to report a 30-year-old murder which he's just committed. Harm and Mac find him arrogant and deceptive, and Harm is stunned to learn that Willie was imprisoned along with Harm's father. As the questioning continues, Harm learns that his father was a turncoat and a coward during the war. This shocking revelation prompts Harm to investigate Willie's story to determine the truth about his father, as well as the truth about the decades-old murder.
A disabled Vietnam vet confesses to Harm that he recently killed a Vietnamese man in Georgetown. He also reveals that he once knew Harm's father---and paints an unflattering portrait of him.
When a former Vietnam POW arrives at JAG headquarters to report a murder he's just committed, Harm confronts a very complex individual who may know something about his MIA father.
When Willie relates the fact that he was imprisoned with Harm's father and then blindsides Harm by claiming that his father was a turncoat, the information has a profound effect on the JAG lawyer. Willie, a very complex individual, has been waiting 30 years to tell his story in his own way. Ultimately, Harm finds out that Willie's murder victim was the contemptible, sadistic commander of the POW camp where Willie had been -- but that's just the beginning of Willie's incredibly sad war story.
A former Vietnam prisoner of war stabs a man on a street corner.
