Original Air Date: 05/20/2003
Harm resigns his commission at JAG in order to track down and rescue Mac and Webb who are being held hostage in Paraguay. As Harm and Gunny search for their friends, Mac’s cover as Webb’s pregnant wife is blown by the terrorists who mercilessly torture Webb within inches of his life. Now, as 100 Stinger missiles are set to be fired at U.S. targets, Harm and Gunny risk their lives to find a way to rescue Mac and Webb before they are killed and the missiles are launched.
Writer: Stephen Zito
Director: Bradford MaySynopsis: Harm resigns his commission at JAG in order to track down and rescue Mac and Webb who are held hostage in Paraguay, on the eighth-season cliffhanger finale.
The naval drama's eighth season comes to a close, leaving fans with a cliffhanger and Harm once again searching for Mac.
"This year has been a bear," says executive producer Donald P. Bellisario, speaking of the pregnancy of lead Catherine Bell. "Suddenly everything we were planning for the season had to go out the window." For the finale, Bellisario decided not to try to hide Bell's condition. Instead, he has Mac pose as the pregnant wife of CIA agent Clayton Webb (Steven Culp) while on a secret mission to Paraguay, where they are captured by terrorists. When no one gives the hot-headed Harm permission to rescue her, the impulsive commander resigns his commission and heads for South America.
